Retain Trees Where Possible

We make every effort to retain existing trees through expert pruning, cabling, and other arboricultural techniques. Removing a healthy tree is always the last resort for us. Our team of professional arborists carefully assesses each situation to identify opportunities to preserve the urban forest.

Replanting for the Future

In cases where tree removal is necessary, we always suggest replanting a new tree of a suitable species in an appropriate location. By replenishing the urban canopy, we ensure that our communities continue to enjoy the environmental, economic, and aesthetic benefits that trees provide.

Recycling Tree Products

When trees or branches must be removed, we strive to reuse and recycle as much of the material as possible. 

• Wood chips are donated to local allotments for use as mulch or sent to green recycling centres for biomass heating. 
• We also offer portable milling services, allowing homeowners to transform their felled trees into usable planks for home projects. 
• As a last resort, logs are seasoned and sold as firewood through local vendors.

Reducing Emissions

We’re committed to reducing our carbon footprint. We prioritise working with local clients to minimise travel emissions, and we are actively exploring the use of electric vans for our fleet. Most of our chainsaws are powered by batteries and lubricated using bio-oil, a more sustainable fuel option.

We believe in supporting and collaborating with local businesses that share our sustainability values. We work with Ingrain, a local business that specialises in transforming urban wood into unique products. This means you can turn a beloved felled tree into a beautiful new piece of furniture.
